I was talking to someone who just graduated from the electronics branch of the engineering course, and he recommends attempting to get onto the MIT course, because his friends speak highly of it, and he confirmed my worst fears about the electronics cambs course for the 3rd year. I was hoping that it would get good in 3rd year, when we actually get to do the stuff we're interested in, but turns out it's still shit. Something tells me MIT might not be an IEE accredited course route, but frankly I don't care.

So now I have to hook up with a first year mathmo, so we can go there at the same time :P

In other news:

TruFree (dairy/wheat free) custard creams are actually the most disgusting things I've ever tasted. Interestingly, they smell like the inside of Colin's room.

Nick (of cortexcontrollers) hates Stallman almost as much as I do. Or possibly more. This makes me happy.

My sister said my dad actally does need his data off that disk image, even though he's not said anything about it himself. I've put that project on a back-burner so I could re-arrange my system. I expect I should probably do something about that, shouldn't I? Best way to migrate a system from a 4-partition, 2 disk raid to a single-partition, single disk? Probably tar followed by untar. Something tells me cp -R will perform really badly if I try to keep within the 2 disks on which the system currently resides, so using my 3rd disk to host a tarball seems like it will be faster and less disk-damaging. Can I remember the syntax though? Of course not!

Only 80 tracks yet to play (5 and a half hours) and then I'll have played each of my 6000 songs at least once once since changing to amaroK.
