My dad just told me that re-write all the data he lost in about 4 hours of his time. You can't even begin to imagine how angry that makes me. I must have spent at least 20 hours trying to get that data back for him, when I could have been doing much more interesting things, and he dragged my mum up here twice to get the things to me. That's like 8 man-hours easily! I'm very tempted to invoice him the £50 that I spent on a duplicate hard drive (which I'm now going to keep for purposes of backups myself :D ) just purely to teach him not to waste everyone's time.

In related events: Liz phoned up (or rather: I phoned Liz, and she was downstairs at the time, so phoned me back) and I ranted to her about it, so now I feel much better, and it reminded me that I need to get BSD on my box at some point. She then told me about her situation with having to pay for junkmail (£1.37 or something) and being determined to get it back off the bank. If she manages it, I've promised to get her a picture frame of a similar value so that she can frame said money and put it on her wall along with her post cards.

Ballroom Dancing tomorrow?

Sounds like a plan.

I had to pay for it cos the silly bank somehow didnt put enough postage on the letter.. and it was junk, cos it was the same mail as I had received this time last year asking what I wanted to do this year... uni, job, apprenticeship etc.

I got my money back though...woo!, so am waiting for my picture frame :D
