Welcome to FreeBSD.
I made it at last. Few teething problems still to sort out, like environment variables, but I'm in KDE (*says nothing about the fact that he's stuck in 1400x1050 resolution, because he set his horizontal/vertical refresh limits to strictly in xorg.conf... or the fact that as soon as he goes back onto the terminal, his keyboard stops making any sense...*)
I also have an interesting little second mouse pointer that's stuck just off-centre... I love this thing's little quirks :D
